Step 1. Make a copy of your keys
If you don't already have a spare set of keys to put inside the keybox, you'll need to make a copy.
We recommend using a KeyMe Kiosk since they're often in a convenient location (like a grocery store) and available most of the day. Many hardware stores also offer key copying services.
Step 2. Put a set of keys inside
Open the keybox using your access code (email us if you didn't get a code). With the keybox open, remove the shackle by sliding the silver shackle release pin to the right.
Place your keys inside the keybox and then close it. Leave the shackle unattached for now.
Step 3. Hang the box in an appropriate location
Find a place to lock the keybox to. This can be your front door, a railing near your front door, or something similar. Lock the keybox to the object by snapping the shackle back into the keybox, around the object.
It should look something like this:
Step 4. Take a photo of your lock's location
Take a photo that clearly shows its location so a service provider can easily find it.
Send your photo to us via email so we can confirm the keybox is ready to go.
