Hello Weary Apartment Hunter! Your long and tired search ends here, My wonderful roommate is leaving NYC for LA and I will have a room available in my 2 bedroom apt in Bushwick with your name on it. Must like cats (i have a very friendly one) THE COST: Rent = $1000/mo Deposit = $1000 Utilities = $40-75/mo (depending how much you blast the AC in summa time) **Space is available as of April 1st and I'm looking for someone interested in signing a year sublease. YOUR ROOM: very large considering nyc standards, a little over 18'X9' with a large double sliding door mirrored closet and 2 windows looking over the back of the apartment. THE APARTMENT: 3rd floor walk up Small kitchenette 1 bath Not a ton of common space but what is lacking in shared living is made up for by the square footage of the room. It's almost like having a small studio to yourself. Rooms are on opposite ends of the apartment, so your space is super private and quiet ... every new yorkers dream Close to a variety of trains, 10 min walk to the Myrtle-Wycoff M/L train, The Halsey L train and the Halsey J train and the Wilson L depending on which way you wanna travel. B60 to Williamsburg and B26 to downtown BK around the corner. Really great location in an up and coming neighborhood, close to some great bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Laundromat, grocery, and a multitude of amazing deli's around the corner. Including one of the nest hardware stores I've been on on the corner. Super convenient easy living. I've lived here for 2 years and the change in the neighborhood has been unrecognizable for such a short amount of time. THE ROOMIES: ME and ROXY (the friendly cat) :) My name is Sam, I've lived in Brooklyn for 10 years now, originally from North Carolina, moved here for school at FIT. I'm a sample hand / production seamstress for several evening-wear design houses in the garment district. I work a lot but in my occasional free time I like to relax and enjoy some down time sipping tequila and spinning Steely Dan records. I'm clean, friendly and laid back. I'm very independent and keep to myself but my door is always open to chat. Basically a perfect balance of Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope (if you like Parks and Recreation). Roxy likes to play fetch and take naps, she also likes to listen to your problems and give you back messages in the morning. I can honestly get along with pretty much anyone, but you gotta be grown and drama freeee. I'm manifesting a positive energy to share this apartment with me :).
