Private room in Coliseum Industrial, CA

Why are you looking for a renter? I love this space, but can't afford to live here on my own. I was expecting my current roommate to leave by September, but he found a place for August took it. No drama. He's just taking care of his own life needs, but it has me in the position of needing to find a roommate fast! I'm flexible with the duration of of the next roommate. It could be a month or years. What do you love about this place? This a dream space for me. Before living here I lived and worked (I'm a visual artist) in a great big loft in LA that was perfect. When looking for similar spaces in Oakland it became clear that such spaces are reeeaaally rare, even in Oakland! It is part of the Dutch Boy Studios complex, witch is quite large so there is contained neighborhood of people living in amazing live work spaces. The ceiling is crazy high, it's recently renovated and up to code, there a big skylight from wall to wall at one end, the kitchen is new and nice, and I love my neighbors. Oh and the front door is at ground level and faces into the central courtyard of the complex, so no steps, and no street outside my door. What isn’t so great about this place? There is just one designated parking spot inside the complex. With my previous roommate we took turns using the spot, one week in the spot , and the next on the street, witch worked fine. The rooms that you would be taking I have built out because the space on its own is one giant box. There is one bedroom, and next to it is another space that is yours to use for studio, closet, office, or whatever you like. There is a large gas heating unit hanging from the high ceiling, but no central cooling other than a small ceiling fan.
