Are you interested in joining a small co-living community in Pasadena? ***Serious Inquiries ONLY PLEASE*** My partner, Kendy and I (Rachael) are in our late 20s/early 30s and are looking to share living space and resources with two roommates in our beautifully restored home in the historic Garfield Heights neighborhood in Pasadena. The house was recently renovated and showcases a modernist interior to compliment the classic, craftsman-style exterior that is typical of the neighborhood. One room is available and would fit a queen size bed comfortably with built-in closet space. Will share a full bathroom with tub. The room and bathroom are located in their own hallway to give occupant more privacy. The shared space includes: front porch, living room, attic/TV room, spacious kitchen with all new appliances, a washer/drier, a large backyard with grill, garden and clothing lines for outdoor drying. Kendy and I are a bi-cultural, bi-lingual, queer couple who value and respect open and empathetic communication, healthy boundaries and personal space. We are both full-time graduate students at UCLA and work from home most days of the week. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and am an avid yogi and cyclist with a passion for brewing coffee, hiking, music and reading. Kendy was born and raised in Tijuana and identifies as a culture vulture who loves being in nature, dancing, yoga, hiking, music and film. We are both committed to healthy eating and cook most our meals at home. We love hosting people for dinner and small parties, but only do so about once a month/6 weeks. We are very 420 friendly and enjoy drinking socially. Rent: Monthly rent will be $1,175, before utilities. Utilities will include gas, electricity, partial water, and wifi and will range about $75-$82 per-person/monthly. Parking: Each occupant will purchase a parking pass ($70 annually) from the city of Pasadena, which will allow you to park on the street 24/7. Parking restrictions from the city of Pasadena prevent visitors from parking on the street overnight, so street parking will always be available for home occupants. Furnishings: We will be providing most of the furniture needed for all common areas to be comfortable, but we are definitely open to adding other furnishings that roommates may bring. Please plan on furnishing your own bed/bath and bringing specialty kitchen supplies. Cleaning/Maintenance: We are looking to hire a weekly, or bi-weekly cleaning service to maintain the entire home; cost estimated at $175/cleaning. Ideally, we would like to share this expense with all house occupants. Location The home is a 5-15 min drive (respectively) to the following AWESOME locations: Rose Bowl Stadium, ArtCenter College, Huntington Library, Norton Simon Museum, CalTech, downtown Pasadena, Altadena, Metro Gold Line, Eaton Canyon and surrounding hiking trails.
